What kind of writer are you?
While I have strong opinions for just about everything, I'm aware of the shades of grey despite the black-and-white tone I may sometimes take. I tend to pay attention to the quality of writing in a work, analyzing a writer's intention and execution of that intention. Characters are of particular importance to me; poorly developed characters almost always make or break a story.
If your life was a shoujo/soonjung manga, which character would you be?
For lack of a better equivalent, I would most likely be the teacher. I tend to have a good read on people, keenly observing the antics of my classroom from the side. At the same time, like the grumpy homeroom teacher smacking the backs of her student's heads, I'm not as rough or calculating as I seem; I'm ready to offer advice to any of them. As long as it's between class periods, of course.

What kind of writer are you?
I tend towards verbosity and juicy adjectives, and I enjoy using semi-colons so my sentences can continue endlessly. I also like noticing trends and patterns in certain genres and commenting on them. Reviews are an excuse for me to wax eloquent on why I love a particular manga, but I also delight in finding a terrible one to complain about. My posts lean towards general observations and "big picture" themes, though occasionally I delve deeper.
If your life was a shoujo/soonjung manga, which character would you be?
I'd be the school nurse. Not the creepy pervert kind, but the one who serves as mentor to the hapless heroine. I'd be the one to provide sage advice in times of emotional trouble and serve as confidante for my precious students. This aligns perfectly with my Myers-Briggs personality type, ISFJ. Plus, I would look cool and professional all the time in my pristine white lab coat.

What kind of writer are you?
When I'm writing posts, I like to think about cultural perspectives. I think it's important to remember that the authors and producers of manga have a set of cultural values distinct from mine. How do the plots and characters of manga help illuminate these differences? I'm an anthropologist in the guise of a fangirl.
If your life was a shoujo/soonjung manga, which character would you be?
I'd be the class representative. I'm generally a goody two shoes, and I frequently end up in leadership positions because I want to make sure the job gets done and done right. I have a future career in herding cats.
